Spottedfire flattened her ears and smiled sheepishly at Splashspirit. "Thank you, Splashspirit." As she finished her sentence, Featherstar, WindClan's leader, came running up to the other leaders. "It's fine. I got here even later." Spottedfire nodded and waved her tail in greeting. "Yes, well it is our first gathering, so we can call it being fashionably late." The she-cat meowed, a hint of laughter in her voice.

Sunstar purred at her medicine cat. "Don't worry, at least you aren't the last one here, right?" She always tried to be positive about whatever she could, she flattened her ears to her head and glared at Lizardstar. "So? And you think your clan is perfect? Hah." She turned around and waved her tail in annoyance. "Yes, prey is well. Thank you Featherstar. How is it for you?" Again, she started out with the friendly, she got annoyed with Lizardstar because he never once tried being friendly, oh well, if he acted hostile his entire clan probably would too. She needed to learn how to deal with it. She mewed to all the cats. "Only missing one clan now!" She looked back up to the sparkling stars and flicked her ears with impatience.

Looking at all that arrived, he only smiled. See, he was pretty shy and scared cause he was the new deputy and wanted to go a good job. When the deputy of Windclan continued to speak to him, he turned his attention to her and mewed "Your welcome, Spottedfire." he mewed and looked up at Sunstar, then at Lizardstar. Oh come on .. please no hatreds already .. please he thought.

"Oh, we're doing fine. A tad short on members, of course, but at least I have a deputy now," she mewed, nodding toward Spottedfire. "The prey is plentiful," she added, not wanting to give away any possible weaknesses. She quickly licked her white tabby paw, then glanced back up, her dull blue eyes scanning the clearing.
"Shall we begin the gathering?"

Suddenly most of Windclan was here. Well, good for them. Now to wait for Riverclan, who were probably taking a bath or something. "Well now we must wait for the wet ones." Shadowclan's Medicine Cat is also elsewhere, but they are off doing something else likely and no need to mention that at the gathering.

"True, Sunstar, though I could have been," she called up to the new leader. "Don't worry, you'll be perfectly fine," she purred reassuringly, "Almost all deputies are nervous at first." They were either nervous or overconfident, and overconfidence isn't always good. She shot a look at the WindClwn leader. "We must wait for RiverClan to be present before this gathering begins." She looked around once more to see if there were any other Medicine Cats, there weren't. That was odd, but maybe they were just running late like she had been.

Windtear tore through the WindClan territory, her small light brown body a blur as she dodged past bushes and holes. The scent of fresh herbs clung to the medicine cats' small frame as she raced wildly to the Circle Clearing. Panting and gasping, Windtear finally came to the gathering place and she crumpled next to her leader, breathing heavily.
" That's what I call running. " she gasped out, smirking as she got to her paws. Shaking out her herby scented fur, Windtear sat down next to Whisperwing.

Whisperwing's ears flicked at the sound of fast approaching paws. Her eyes flicked up to see a fast approaching WindClanner. It was their Medicine Cat, Windtear. The health-cautious side of her wanted to say something about her collapsing, but she held her tongue as the small cat got up. "Running, you WindClanners do to much of it," she teased lightly. Her large, fluffy form towered over her smaller one. The dark calico flicked her poofy tail in a polite greeting.

Sunstar hissed with impatience, where was riverclan?! She continued to claw the tree, it was a habit of hers, sinking her claws into things that is. Not that she enjoyed fighting or anything but she could easily hold her own. But she shouldn't be thinking about this at a gathering, she shook the thoughts from her mind. "How long are then gonna take?" She was getting really irritated now. "Maybe they won't show up? Should we just start?" She really wanted get back to camp.

Lizardstar was beyond annoyed now, and party wanted to just take Rattail and go home. But more and more cats arrived, and eventually everyone else began to grow impatient with him. He shook his head and looked at the other two leaders. "I suggest we go ahead and start. I don't feel like staying here all night waiting for Ripplestar." He muttered, flicking his tail in annoyance.

Sunstar dipped her head at Lizardstar, "Go ahead, you can start." She was giving him first turn to talk because she believed he was even more impatient then she was at the moment, and she also wanted to see if she could get him to stop being so grumpy and hostile. She retracted her claws and began licking her paw and pulling it over her ear and waited.

Lizardstar nodded respectfully at her, and got to his paws. "Let the gathering begin!" He yowled, just in case nobody had been able to hear the agreement to start.
He gave everyone a couple of moments to quiet down, then cleared his throat. "Shadowclan is going rather well, thankfully. We are currently growing in numbers and in strength, and I am very pleased with out progress." He made sure he was speaking loud enough for everyone to hear. "Everything is peaceful in our territory as well. No badgers, foxes, trespassers. I hope it remains this way for as long as possible." With that, he sat down and nodded at Sunstar, waiting for her to begin her announcement.

Sunstar flicked her ears and stood up. "I am glad to hear everything is so well in Shadowclan, Lizardstar." She looked around the clearing to make sure everyone was listening and then she started talking. "Everything in Thunderclan fine, prey has been good, and the only trespasser we have had was a lost kittypet, but we sent them in the right direction and haven't seen them ever since. There has been a badger just where our border ends and leaves the clans territory but it hasn't crossed, keep and eye out." She sat back down and turned to Featherstar and dipped her head showing that it was now her turn.

| A | MEDICINE | CAT | TO | BEAT | THEM | ALL | The RiverClan medicine cat walked calmly into the clearing, a small smile stretched across her features and a low purr rumbling from deep within her chest. Her pelt had been groomed well, the red fur practically blazing under the full moon. She stopped short of the main group of cats, trying to pick out the medicine cats, "Windtear! Whisperwing!" She called out, spotting their pelts easily enough, then trotted over, "A beautiful night for a gathering, yes?" Her green eyes sparkled brightly, shinning with the secret knowledge of StarClan.

Whisperwing looked as yet another Medicine Cat joined. "No!" She hissed, "They have started without the RiverClan leader! StarClan will not be pleased!" In fact, in the distance, clouds were starting to gather. Not a warning, but preparation. Her fur was startling to bristle along her spine in worry. "Where is your new leade? Oh StarClan, please forgive the leaders.."
